On August 27, China Enterprise Confederation and China Enterprise Directors Association released the lists of 2016 Top 500 Chinese Enterprises, Top 500 Enterprises in Chinese Manufacturing Industry, Top 500 Enterprises in Chinese Service Industry and Top 100 Chinese Transnational Corporations together with the analysis report. Nanshan Group Co., Ltd. ranked the 167th in Top 500 Chinese Enterprises and the 70th in Top 500 Enterprises in Chinese Manufacturing Industry with the operation revenue of RMB 82.2 Billion Yuan.

From the analysis report, the realized operation revenue of Top 500 Chinese Enterprises in 2016 was RMB 59.5 Trillion Yuan, which was almost the same with that of Top 500 Chinese Enterprises in 2015 with the growth decreased by 4.9%. There were 261 enterprises of the manufacturing industry and 157 enterprises of the service industry in this list. However, with regard to the share of the total operation revenue, the service industry rose to 40.5%, which exceeded the manufacturing industry of 39.2% for the first time. The quantity of enterprises in traditional industries kept decreasing, while those in modern service industry and equipment manufacturing enterprises kept increasing. The growth of the new economical sector was very strong.  

Top 10 enterprises in the Top 500 Chinese Enterprises were all state-owned enterprises. State Grid Corporation of China ranked the first with the operation revenue of RMB 2.07 Trillion Yuan, CNPC ranked the second with the operation revenue of RMB 1.88 Trillion Yuan, and Sinopec ranked the third with the operation revenue of RMB 1.84 Trillion Yuan which used to rank the first for 11 consecutive years. From the fourth place to the tenth place, they were Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, China Construction Bank, China State Construction Engineering Corporation, Agricultural Bank of China, Bank of China, Ping An Insurance (Group) Company of China, Ltd. and China Mobile. The quantity of state-owned enterprises reduced to 295 from 297 of last year in top 500 enterprises, with the operation revenue accounting for 75.9% and the net profit accounting for 76.7%; while that of private enterprises increased to 205 from 203, with the operation revenue accounting for 24.1% and the net profit accounting for 23.3%. 

There were 110 Chinese enterprises listed in Top 500 Enterprises of the World in 2016, following America (134), and 47 more than Japan (52) which ranked the third. Compared with Top 500 American Enterprises, the operation revenue of Top 500 Chinese Enterprises in 2016 was equivalent to USD 9.6 Trillion Yuan, accounting for 79.9% of that of Top 500 American Enterprises, which increased by 2.4% compared with last year.

This is the fifteenth time that China Enterprise Confederation and China Enterprise Directors Association released the Top 500 Chinese Enterprises and the analysis report to the society since 2002, from which, it not only shows the progress pace of big Chinese enterprises but also reflects the difference between big Chinese enterprises and big world-class enterprises.
